Easy read. Great in explaining techniques on being empathetic while helping those who come to you for counseling. The workbook has great exercises even for the those who are challenged in learning techniques.

Clear and concise

When I first started reading this text, I couldn't really get into it. But the further I got along, the better it was. The material is very concise. The text doesn't even fill each entire page. It was kind of strange. At the same time, it was refreshing to have such short chapters to read (especially if you have other classes). I enjoyed this text and the workbook is a nice complement that allows you to practice the techniques outlined in the book.
