About the Author
Lee Epstein is Ethan A.H. Shepley Distinguished University Professor at Washington University in St. Louis. She is also a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and of the American Academy of Political and Social Science. A recipient of 12 grants from the National Science Foundation for her work on law and legal institutions, Epstein has authored or co-authored over 100 articles and essays, as well as 15 books, including The Choices Justices Make (co-authored with Jack Knight), which won the Pritchett Award for the Best Book on Law and Courts and the Lasting Contribution Award for making a "lasting impression on the field of law and courts." The Constitutional Law for a Changing America series (co-authored with Thomas G. Walker) received the Teaching and Mentoring Award from the Law and Courts Section of the American Political Science Association. Her most recent books are The Behavior of Federal Judges, with William M. Landes and Richard A. Posner, and An Introduction to Empirical Legal Research, with Andrew D. Martin. Thomas G. Walker is the Goodrich C. White Professor of Political Science at Emory University, where he teaches courses in constitutional law and the judicial process. He is the coauthor of A Court Divided (1988), with Deborah Barrow, which won the V. O. Key, Jr. Award for the best book on southern politics, and the Constitutional Law for a Changing America series, with Lee Epstein. He is also author of Eligible for Execution: The Story of the Daryl Atkins Case (2009).

I love this devotional booklet. I feel that God is using these readings to speak directly to my heart. My time in the presence of God is sweeter than ever. Previous reviews have criticized Ms. Young for not providing a more comprehensive overview of the teachings of Jesus, but this is a devotional booklet not a commentary. It is designed to draw the reader closer to God and it is doing just that for me!

I try to start every morning with a cup of coffee and a daily reading from this wonderful work. This isn't just for Easter...it's for every 40 day cycle of your life! Spend a little time with Jesus when you start your day and your life will be so enriched! I highly recommend this little gem !

Drawing on a wealth of images from across the UK and Europe and the USA, in particular, the author questions the effectiveness of public art in achieving more convivial urban environments, whilst retaining the idea that imagining possible futures is as much part of a democratic society as using public space.

One of the Best Studies about Public Art

This book is one of the best studies carried through on the problematic of the public art in the internacional context. The author displays of a form notable the new conceptions of public art, collated with the classic conceptions that afect the monument. He analyzes some of the interventions more interesting of the public space, and explains the intentions of each creator. Richard Serra, Rachel Whiteread, Tone Otterness, Antony Gormley, Isamu Noguchi, Mierle Ukeles, Wodiczko, is some of the examples that the author appeals to show to the diversity of the proposals contemporaries. For beyond the artists, the author collates diverses teses defended by Rosalin Deutshe, Suzanne Lacy, Sara Selwood, Harriet F. Senie, among others. About the Author
Dr. Steven P. Shelov, M.D., M.S., F.A.A.P. is Professor of Pediatrics at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Chairman of Pediatrics at Maimonides Medical Center and Lutheran Medical Center and Vice President of the Infants' and Childrens' Hospital of Brooklyn. He is the Editor-in-Chief of several of the parent publications for the AAP including "Caring For Your Baby" and "Young Child, The First Year Of Life," and" A Guide to Child Symptoms," Dr. Shelov pioneered and developed these series of books. In 2002, Dr. Shelov was presented with the Lifetime Achievement in Education Award by the American Academy of Pediatrics, its singular highest award for pediatric education. The American Academy of Pediatrics is an organization of 57,000 primary care pediatricians, pediatric medical subspecialists, and pediatric specialists dedicated to the health, safety, and well-being of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. It's good reading, didn't need it for the class considering ...

It's good reading, didn't need it for the class considering the modules were adequate. This may be attributed to the lecture portion of my Medic class for peds aside from this resource, but it's still good information and a worthwhile cert.
